| The Champaign County Jr. Beef Council held a clinic on April 5, 2008 for all jr. fair exhibitors. Hearthstone Farms graciously hosted the event in their sale facility. Dr. Bill Ayars discussed animal health. Andrew Maurice of Ludlow and Maurice Show Calves discussed proper animal selection. Allan Robison of Champaign Landmark discussed and demonstrated different feed selections. Gary Staley from Hearthstone Farms spent the afternoon working with exhibitors on proper showmanship technique and skills. The Jr. Beef Council supports activities throughout the year for the 4-H youth. |
